How should it be compared with Harvey?
Harvey describes Agents, Vault, Spaces, Knowledge and Contract Intelligence on its website. OpenHarvey focuses on contract workspaces, source navigation, configurable Skills and playbooks, and deliverable previews and downloads. It does not claim feature parity, and no controlled performance or accuracy comparison has been conducted.
What should teams evaluate?
Consider application self-hosting, source access, model choice, configurable business rules and navigation between findings and source documents. Also evaluate English workflows, authentication, operational costs, third-party data processing and backups. See the open-source page for release status.
Be precise about open source
Harvey has also released an open-source legal agent benchmark and open-weight model research. It would be inaccurate to say that Harvey has no open-source work. OpenHarvey publishes the application code for its contract workspace.
